Scanning & Editing Handbook

The Scanning & Editing Handbook was designed as a set of guidelines for our student assistants within our text-conversion department. This process was created to cater to our visually impaired students by taking their daily class readings and converting them into an electronic format that is vocalized by a computer with the necessary software.

The ADAPTS Office has provided an electronic version of this manual so that other universities and organizations, who are new to this process or are seeking improvements within their own, can have something to refer. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact us. The Disability Services community needs a free-flowing, communication network so that new and innovative ideas can be passed onto others.
