Equipment Available

The ADAPTS Office has equipment available for Tech students with disabilities. This equipment is available according to accommodations, on a course specific basis. Examples of equipment available are:

1. Laptop computers
2. Microcassette recorders
3. Four track player/recorders
4. Compact portable TDD
5. Assistive Listening Device
6. Assistance in locating readers or tutors
7. Signaling devices (for resident students)
8. Caption decoder (for class videos)
9. Spell checkers
10. The following software programs are available in the Assistive Technology Lab (Student Services Room 265) for ADAPTS students: JAWS, ZOOMTEXT, Dragon Dictate, INSPIRATION, and ViaVoice. Any student in ADAPTS may use our computer lab M-F 8-5pm. This lab is there for you.
11. Computers equipped with large screen monitors and scanners that can be used in the Assistive Technology Lab (Student Services Room 265)
